Why Rituals Matter
Rituals are not romantic. They are the operating system serious performers use to make good choices when they are too tired to think.

Motivation is a poor strategy. It is loudest when you need it least and silent when you need it most. Rituals replace motivation with structure.
Why the brain loves a ritual
Repeated cues paired with repeated actions become automatic. The decision is made once, then executed for years. The mental cost drops to almost zero.
Apply it to recovery
Same time. Same place. Same sequence. The first week feels deliberate. By week three it is the thing you do without asking.
The ritual is what survives the bad weeks.
